To apply for the National ID for the first time or first renewal of ID after a child has reached 10 years of age, the application for the National ID card must be lodged in person at the High Commission. In this case, kindly make a prior appointment to visit the High Commission.  
 
Maldivian citizens residing in Pakistan can apply for their National ID renewal through the Maldives High Commission by following the instructions below. 
 

Required Documents 

• To apply, please prepare the following documents for submission to the High Commission in person or by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
• A covering letter requesting for ID renewal, including details of all enclosed documents
• A fully completed ID application form (please remember to include a current contact number and signatures in the relevant boxes).  
• Digital passport sized photograph. Please ensure that the photo is in compliance with the requirements set out by Department of National Registration.
• Copy of the applicant's current ID card
• ID fee has to made directly to Department of National Registration through a person assigned by the applicant.
